In my current role as Assistant Director of Media Communications & Relations, I lead a team of dynamic professionals in strategic media engagement and promotion, targeting local newspapers to international outlets. I've produced unique content to showcase exceptional students, successfully pitched stories to top-tier outlets including The New York Times and Washington Post, tracked media successes to keep key leadership informed, assisted with on-campus media events including a visit from first lady Jill Biden, crafted responses to media on current issues, served on hiring committees and so much more.
In previous roles, I've managed staff and marketing efforts for a retail storefront, created and implemented a comprehensive communications plan for a growing brewery, produced and managed digital content for an educational support agency, educated staff on best communications practices, assisted with new technology integration in meeting spaces and even carved birdhouses with a chainsaw!
